Posaconazole side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 12, 2007. Male patient, 51 years of age, was diagnosed with zygomycosis and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: stem cell transplant. Posaconazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with AMPHOTERICIN B. Patient died.

Female patient, child 10 years of age, was diagnosed with fungal infection  and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: adenovirus infection, multi-organ failure, stem cell transplant, transplant rejection. Posaconazole dosage: 200 MG; QID; PO. During the same period patient was treated with METHYLPREDNISOLONE, CYCLOSPORINE, ATGAM, FLUCONAZOLE, TRIMETHOPRIM, AMPHOTERICIN B, VORICONAZOLE, CASPOFUNGIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 02/01/2005.
