Posaconazole and pyrexia Patient Reports February 11, 2012

Posaconazole Side Effects Report #5518656-9
Posaconazole side effect was reported by a Physician from FRANCE on Oct 25, 2007. Female patient, 14 years of age, weighting 163.1 lb, was diagnosed with mucormycosis, aspergillosis, nausea  and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anxiety , cardiac arrest , electrocardiogram qt prolonged, hypomagnesaemia, malaise, overdose, pyrexia, thrombocytopenia, torsade de pointes. Posaconazole dosage: 200 MG;PO. During the same period patient was treated with VORICONAZOLE, OMEPRAZOLE, FORTUM, TARGOCID, CASPOFUNGIN ACETATE, ATARAX, POLARAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute myeloid leukaemia recurrent, dehydration, nausea , pyrexia. Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG; BID; PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/03/2006.

Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG;BID;PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/03/2006.

Male patient, 71 years of age, weighting 176.4 lb, was diagnosed with antifungal prophylaxis and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bacterial sepsis, pyrexia. Posaconazole dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, DAUNORUBICIN, PRIMAXIN, VANCOMYCIN, TAZOBAC, GENTAMICIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/28/2007.
