Posaconazole Side Effects Report #5282611-7
Posaconazole side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Mar 13, 2007. Female patient, 67 years of age, weighting 143.0 lb, was diagnosed with systemic mycosis and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atelectasis, blood albumin decreased, blood potassium decreased, cardiac failure congestive, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, condition aggravated, fibrin d dimer increased, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased. Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG; BID. During the same period patient was treated with CIPROFLOXACIN, ATENOLOL, AVANDIA, ASPIRIN, ALBUTEROL SULPHATE, FISH OIL, GLYBURIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, multi-organ failure, pneumonia . Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG; IV; 300 MG; IV; 400 MG; IV-SEE IMAGE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/24/2006.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, lymphocyte percentage decreased, neutrophil percentage increased, puncture site infection. Posaconazole dosage: 120 MG; BID; PO. During the same period patient was treated with METHOTREXATE, VINDESINE, IFOSFAMIDE, GRANISETRON, DEXAMETHASONE, FLUCONAZOL, COTRIM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: haematocrit decreased, haemoglobin decreased, haemorrhoids, platelet count decreased, red blood cell count decreased, upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Posaconazole dosage: 200 MG, QID; PO. During the same period patient was treated with IMIPENEM, ACYCLOVIR, OMEPRAZOLE, DAFLON, IMMUNE GLOBULIN INTRAVENOUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/23/2006.
