Posaconazole Side Effects Report #5271124-4
Posaconazole side effect was reported by a Physician from SWITZERLAND on Mar 02, 2007. Male patient, 48 years of age, weighting 216.1 lb, was diagnosed with sinusitis fungal, pain , herpes virus infection, prophylaxis, pneumonia , sedation and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arteriosclerosis, arteriosclerosis coronary artery, bradycardia, bradypnoea, brain stem syndrome, cardiovascular disorder, cerebral disorder, coma, condition aggravated. Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG; BID; PO. During the same period patient was treated with MORPHINE, ACYCLOVIR, TAXOBACTAM, PROPOFOL, ABELCET, VORICONAZOLE, DIFLUCAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 08/07/2005.

Male patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with prophylaxis and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: central nervous system lesion, coma, convulsion, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, zygomycosis. Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG BID. During the same period patient was treated with STEROIDS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bradycardia, bradypnoea, cerebral disorder, coma, condition aggravated, hepatic enzyme increased, hypotension, liver disorder, respiratory failure. Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG;BID;PO. During the same period patient was treated with MORPHINE, ACYCLOVIR, TAXOBACTAM, PROPOFOL, ABELCET, VORICONAZOLE, DIFLUCAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 08/07/2005.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, aspergillosis, blood disorder, blood pressure decreased, bronchitis , coma, culture urine positive, cytolytic hepatitis, disease progression. Posaconazole dosage: 400 MG; BID; PO. During the same period patient was treated with EFFEXOR, VORICONAZOLE, ROCEPHIN, CIFLOX, VITAMIN CAP, RED BLOOD CELLS, PLATELETS, POLARAMINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 12/22/2002.

During the same period patient was treated with LIPOSSOMAL ANPHOTERICINE B, VORICONAZOLE, CASPOPHUNGINE. Patient recovered.
