Posaconazole Side Effects Report #5153632-X
Posaconazole side effect was reported by a Physician from GERMANY on Oct 30, 2006. Male patient, 61 years of age, weighting 174.2 lb, was diagnosed with fungal infection , prophylaxis against graft versus host disease, antiviral prophylaxis and was treated with Posaconazole. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bacterial sepsis, benign prostatic hyperplasia, blood disorder, cardiac failure, cholelithiasis, cholestasis, condition aggravated, constipation , convulsion. Posaconazole dosage: 200 MG;QID;PO. During the same period patient was treated with PROGRAF, ACYCLOVIR, SANDIMMUNE, DECORTIN, GANCICLOVIR, CELLCEPT, BELOC ZOC COMP. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 05/21/2006.

During the same period patient was treated with CYTARABINE, DAUNORUBICIN, PRIMAXIN, VANCOMYCIN, TAZOBAC, GENTAMICIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 04/28/2007.
