Pitocin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on July 14, 2008. Female patient, 25 years of age, was diagnosed with postpartum haemorrhage and was treated with Pitocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: heart rate increased, hypotension, postpartum haemorrhage. Pitocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PRENATAL VITAMINS, IRON, PROMETHAZINE, MIDAZOLAM, BUPIVACAINE, FENTANYL, MORPHINE SULPHATE. Patient recovered.

Pitocin side effect was reported by a Physician from INDIA on Jan 18, 2007. Female patient was diagnosed with labour induction and was treated with Pitocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute pulmonary oedema, blood ph decreased, blood pressure increased, central venous pressure increased, crepitations, dyspnoea, face oedema, heart rate increased, hyponatraemia. Pitocin dosage: 2 MLU/MIN INCREASED BY 2MIU/MIN Q30 MIN UP TO 64 MIU/MIN. Patient recovered.
