Pitocin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Sept 30, 2005. Female patient, 35 years of age, weighting 178.6 lb, was diagnosed with uterine hypotonus, labour pain and was treated with Pitocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, apnoea, caesarean section, cephalo-pelvic disproportion, constipation
, pain
, postpartum haemorrhage. Pitocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with SPINAL ANESTHESIA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
