Piperacillin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Mar 30, 2006. Male patient, 83 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with febrile neutropenia and was treated with Piperacillin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, dysphagia, erythema, gastrointestinal haemorrhage, haematemesis, hypotension, oesophageal candidiasis, renal failure acute, tongue oedema. Piperacillin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CEFTAZIDIME, TYLENOL, ITRACONAZOLE, PANTOPRAZOLE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
