Female patient, 70 years of age, was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus and was treated with Pioglitazone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute hepatic failure, asthenia, base excess increased, bundle branch block, cardiac failure, condition aggravated, confusional state, diabetes mellitus. Pioglitazone dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with TAMOXIFEN CITRATE, OPIPRAMOL, SILYMARIN, OXAZEPAM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
