Pimozide side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Feb 07, 2007. Male patient, 38 years of age, was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and was treated with Pimozide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: body temperature decreased, convulsion, inflammation, nasopharyngitis, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, oculogyration, screaming, white blood cell count increased. Pimozide dosage: 2 MG (1 MG, 2 IN 1 D) ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with HALOPERIDOL, SALICYLAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood pressure increased, convulsion, decreased appetite, depressed level of consciousness, heart rate increased, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, oculogyration, treatment noncompliance. Pimozide dosage: 2 MG (1 MG, 2 IN 1 D) ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with HALOPERIDOL, SALICYLAMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Pimozide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with FLUPHENAZINE DECANOATE, CARBAMAZEPINE, PROPRANOLOL. Patient recovered.
