Photofrin Side Effects Report #4801877-8
Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Sept 15, 2005. Female patient was diagnosed with non-small cell lung cancer and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pneumonia , respiratory failure, sepsis . Photofrin dosage: 2 MG/KG IV/BETWEEN DEC 97 + MAY 02. Patient died.

Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Oct 26, 2005. Female patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with metastases to pleura and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac tamponade, deep vein thrombosis , fatigue, international normalised ratio increased, nausea , pericardial effusion, pneumonia . Photofrin dosage: 248 MG I.V.. During the same period patient was treated with COUMADIN, ATIVAN, PREVACID, LEVOFLOXACIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
