Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED KINGDOM on July 03, 2005. Male patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with malignant hepatobiliary neoplasm and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: asthenia, depression , lethargy, oral intake reduced, refusal of treatment by patient. Photofrin dosage: 180 MG I.V.. Patient died.

Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with lip and/or oral cavity cancer stage 0 and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: neoplasm malignant, oedema mouth, oral intake reduced, pain , pharyngolaryngeal pain. Photofrin dosage: 2.0 MG/KG IV. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 73 years of age, was diagnosed with dysplasia, lip and/or oral cavity cancer stage 0, pain , periodontal disease and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dysplasia, lip and/or oral cavity cancer stage 0, metastatic neoplasm, oedema mouth, oral intake reduced, pain , pharyngolaryngeal pain, recurrent cancer. Photofrin dosage: 2.0 MG/KG IV. During the same period patient was treated with ACCUTANE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
