Photofrin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from FRANCE on Nov 25, 2005. Male patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: bronchial fistula, gastrointestinal necrosis, oesophageal perforation, oesophageal stenosis. Photofrin dosage: 2 MG/KG I.V.. Patient died.

Photofrin dosage: 2 MG/M2 (ONE COURSE). Patient recovered.

Photofrin dosage: 110 MG (2 MG/KG) INTRAVENOUS. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abscess What is  abscess, bronchial disorder, candida sepsis, gastrointestinal necrosis, haemodialysis, mediastinitis, oesophageal perforation, oropharyngeal candidiasis, pleural effusion. Photofrin dosage: 180 MG, 2 SESSIONS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
