Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Oct 26, 2005. Female patient, 57 years of age, was diagnosed with metastases to pleura and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac tamponade, deep vein thrombosis , fatigue, international normalised ratio increased, nausea , pericardial effusion, pneumonia . Photofrin dosage: 248 MG I.V.. During the same period patient was treated with COUMADIN, ATIVAN, PREVACID, LEVOFLOXACIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anorexia, blood creatinine increased, dysuria, fatigue, micturition urgency, pollakiuria, ureteric obstruction, ureteric stenosis, urinary retention. Photofrin dosage: 109 MG IV. During the same period patient was treated with LIPITOR, EZETIMIBE, AVAPRO, COREG. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with PLAVIX, GLIPIZIDE, ACIPHEX, COSOPT EYE DROPS, ALPHAGAN, XALATIN EYE DROPS, MURINE EYE DROPS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
