Photofrin Side Effects Report #5016939-2
Photofrin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on May 11, 2006. Female patient, 58 years of age, was diagnosed with malignant peritoneal neoplasm and was treated with Photofrin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaemia, blood bilirubin increased, blood creatinine increased, bone marrow disorder, coagulopathy, fluid overload, gastrointestinal disorder, gastrointestinal oedema. Photofrin dosage: 2.5 MG/KG IV. During the same period patient was treated with ATIVAN, CALCIUM GLUCONATE, CARAFATE, CEFAZOLIN, FENTANYL, FLAGYL, FLEETS ENEMA, LASIX. Patient died on 10/21/2001.

During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, BUDIVACAINE, CEFEPINE, FLAGYL, ZANTAC, LOPRESOR, LEVOTHYROXINE, ZOFRAN. Patient recovered.

Photofrin dosage: 142.2 MG, 1 DOSE, IV. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, BUDIVACAINE, CEFEPIME, FLAGYL, ZANTAC, LOPRESOR, LEVOTHYROXINE, ZOFRAN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 10/11/2007.
