Phenobarbital side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from NETHERLANDS on Jan 11, 2006. Female patient, 39 years of age, weighting 158.7 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Phenobarbital. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fall , grand mal convulsion, injury, osteopenia, osteoporosis , pelvic fracture, postictal state, pregnancy . Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VALPROIC ACID, ETHOSUXIMIDE, OXCARBAZEPINE, LAMOTRIGINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: back pain , convulsion, osteolysis, osteoporosis , thoracic vertebral fracture, traumatic fracture. Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENYTOIN ORAL USP, CARBAMAZEPINE, VALPROIC ACID. Patient recovered.
