Phenobarbital side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from NETHERLANDS on Jan 11, 2006. Female patient, 39 years of age, weighting 158.7 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Phenobarbital. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: fall , grand mal convulsion, injury, osteopenia, osteoporosis , pelvic fracture, postictal state, pregnancy . Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with VALPROIC ACID, ETHOSUXIMIDE, OXCARBAZEPINE, LAMOTRIGINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: back pain , grand mal convulsion, hydroxyproline increased, osteopenia, osteoporosis , traumatic fracture, urine calcium increased. Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENYTOIN, CARBAMAZEPINE, VALPROIC ACID. Patient recovered.
