Phenobarbital side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from JAPAN on Dec 01, 2008. Male patient, 68 years of age, was diagnosed with convulsion prophylaxis and was treated with Phenobarbital. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anti-thyroid antibody positive, antinuclear antibody positive, blood chloride decreased, blood culture positive, blood glucose increased, blood potassium decreased, coma. Phenobarbital dosage: 120 MG; QD; PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Phenobarbital side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Jan 26, 2005. Male patient, 55 years of age, was treated with Phenobarbital. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood ph decreased, blood pressure decreased, cerebral infarction, coma, completed suicide, myocardial infarction, pco2 increased, po2 decreased. Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARBITAL ELIXIR USP, BENZODIAZEPINE, OPIOID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/01/2003.
