Phenobarbital side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Jan 26, 2005. Male patient, 55 years of age, was treated with Phenobarbital. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood ph decreased, blood pressure decreased, cerebral infarction, coma, completed suicide, myocardial infarction, pco2 increased, po2 decreased. Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARBITAL ELIXIR USP, BENZODIAZEPINE, OPIOID. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/01/2003.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: agitation, blood chloride increased, blood creatine increased, blood glucose increased, blood ph decreased, blood potassium decreased, blood sodium increased, cardio-respiratory arrest, coma. Phenobarbital dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with PHENOBARBITAL ELIXIR USP. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/01/2003.
