Periostat side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from on Feb 01, 2005. Female patient, 27 years of age, was diagnosed with acne What is  acne and was treated with Periostat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: clostridium colitis. Periostat dosage: 40 MG (20 MG, BID) PER ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with ORAL CONTRACEPTION, SPIRONOLACTONE, PLEXION. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
