Periostat side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED KINGDOM on Aug 16, 2007. Female patient, 47 years of age, weighting 169.8 lb, was diagnosed with periodontitis and was treated with Periostat. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: chest pain
, oesophageal ulcer, oesophagitis. Periostat dosage: 20 MG, BID, PO. During the same period patient was treated with ATENOLOL, CEFACLOR, LEVOTHYROXINE, SIMVASTATIN, SUMATRIPTAN SUCCINATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
