Pentothal side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from CANADA on Apr 15, 2008. Male patient, 53 years of age, was diagnosed with intracranial pressure increased and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , hyperkalaemia, hypokalaemia, rebound effect. Pentothal dosage: 5 MG/KG, ONCE, INTRAVENOUS BOLUS; 3.75 MG/KG/HR, INFUSION. During the same period patient was treated with CHLORIDE, MANNITOL, PROPOFOL, PHENYTOIN, NOREPINEPHRINE BITARTRATE, ANTIBIOTIC, INSULIN, FENTANYL. Patient recovered.
