Pentothal Side Effects Report #4665033-9
Pentothal side effect was reported by a Physician from on May 09, 2005. Female patient, 35 years of age, was diagnosed with sedation and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest , fluid retention, haemodialysis, haemodynamic instability, hyperkalaemia, hypokalaemia, post procedural complication, tachycardia, uterine enlargement. Pentothal dosage: 2-3MG.KG-1, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with MIDAZOLAM, SUFENTANIL CITRATE, NIMBEX. Patient died.

Pentothal side effect was reported by a Physician from TAIWAN, PROVINCE OF CHINA on Dec 28, 2007. Female patient, 53 years of age, weighting 123.5 lb, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia, maintenance of anaesthesia and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: operative haemorrhage, parotid gland enlargement, parotitis, post procedural complication. Pentothal dosage: 275 MG, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL, ROCURONIUM, SEVOFLURANE. Patient recovered.
