Pentothal Side Effects Report #5883256-8
Pentothal side effect was reported by a Physician from NETHERLANDS on Sept 02, 2008. Male patient, child 8 years of age, weighting 77.16 lb, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia, endotracheal intubation, maintenance of anaesthesia and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: heart rate increased, unwanted awareness during anaesthesia. Pentothal dosage: 3.6 MCG/KG INTRAVENOUS; 1MG/KG, ONCE, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL, ROCURONIUM BROMIDE, EMLA CREAM, CEFAZOLIN. Patient recovered.

Male patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 108.0 lb, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia, endotracheal intubation, maintenance of anaesthesia and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood pressure increased, crying, heart rate increased, unwanted awareness during anaesthesia. Pentothal dosage: 5 MG/KG; INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL, ROCURONIUM BROMIDE, CEFAZOLIN. Patient recovered.
