Pentothal side effect was reported by a Physician from KOREA, DEMOCRATIC PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF on Aug 11, 2005. Female patient, 21 years of age, was diagnosed with intracranial pressure increased and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood potassium increased, bradycardia, brain oedema, cardiac arrest

Male patient, 36 years of age, weighting 176.4 lb, was diagnosed with induction of anaesthesia, maintenance of anaesthesia, post procedural nausea and was treated with Pentothal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: atrial fibrillation

, post procedural nausea, torsade de pointes, ventricular hypokinesia. Pentothal dosage: 500 MG, INTRAVENOUS. During the same period patient was treated with SUXAMETHONIUM, DESFLURANE, SUFENTANIL CITRATE, ROPIVACAINE, ONDANSETRON. Patient recovered.
