Pentostatin Side Effects Report #5209171-0
Pentostatin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Jan 03, 2007. Male patient, 76 years of age, was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and was treated with Pentostatin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood potassium increased, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, haemolytic anaemia, ischaemic cardiomyopathy, renal failure, upper gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Pentostatin dosage: 8 MG Q3W IV. During the same period patient was treated with CYTOXAN, RITUXAN, ALLOPURINOL, SEPTRA DS, VALTREX, BENADRYL, DECADRON, KYTRIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/05/2006.

During the same period patient was treated with CYTOXAN, RITUXAN, PALONOSETRON, COUMADIN, LISINOPRIL, OXYCONTIN, BACTRIM, FAMVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspiration, chest pain , hypotension, lung infiltration, pneumonia , pseudomonal bacteraemia, renal failure, urine output decreased. Pentostatin dosage: 16 MG. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/14/2007.
