Pentostatin Side Effects Report #5229272-0
Pentostatin side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 26, 2007. Female patient, 49 years of age, was diagnosed with t-cell prolymphocytic leukaemia and was treated with Pentostatin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, anaemia, diffuse alveolar damage, hyperglycaemia, hypernatraemia, hypotension, malnutrition, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, respiratory acidosis. Pentostatin dosage: 6.24 MG WEEKLY IV. During the same period patient was treated with CAMPATH, FAMOTIDINE, FLUCONAZOLE, ALLOPURINOL, ALPRAZOLAM, VORICONAZOLE, VALACYCLOVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/19/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acute respiratory distress syndrome, anaemia, catheter site haematoma, hyperglycaemia, hypernatraemia, hypotension, iatrogenic injury, malnutrition. Pentostatin dosage: 6.24 MG WEEKLY IV. During the same period patient was treated with CAMPATH, FAMOTIDINE, FLUCONAZOLE, ALLOPURINOL, ALPRAZOLAM, VORICONAZOLE, VALACYCLOVIR. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/19/2007.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: ascites, bacterial infection What is  bacterial infection, cholangitis, cholecystitis, hepatic failure, hepatitis What is  hepatitis, hypotension, lung neoplasm, pancreatitis. Pentostatin dosage: 4 MG/M2 FORTNIGHTLY IV. During the same period patient was treated with VANCOMYCIN, MEROPENEM, OXYCODONE EXTENDED, METRONIDAZOLE ORAL, SULFAMETHOXAZOLE, CEFTAZIDIME, NYSTATIN, BECLOMETHASONE AQUEOUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: aspiration, chest pain What is  chest pain, hypotension, lung infiltration, pneumonia What is  pneumonia, pseudomonal bacteraemia, renal failure, urine output decreased. Pentostatin dosage: 16 MG. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/14/2007.
