Male patient, 23 years of age, was diagnosed with intestinal villi atrophy, ascites and was treated with Pentasa. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: epistaxis, lymphopenia, neutropenia, thrombocytopenia. Pentasa dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ALDACTONE, ENTOCORT. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Pentasa dosage: 2000 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, ALGINATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.
