Pentasa side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from DENMARK on Jan 06, 2007. Female patient, 64 years of age, was diagnosed with crohn's disease  and was treated with Pentasa. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, anaemia, aspartate aminotransferase increased, atrial fibrillation , band neutrophil count increased, blood alkaline phosphatase increased, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, hyperaesthesia, hyperhidrosis. Pentasa dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with CALCIUM CARBONATE, PREDNISONE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Pentasa dosage: 500 MG, 2 CAP 2XS DAILY. During the same period patient was treated with PRILOSEC, DIOVAN HCT, ZOCOR, PAXIL, FOLTX, NORVASC, MIRALAX, WELLBUTRIN. Patient was hospitalized.
