Pentasa Side Effects Report #5065242-3
Pentasa side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from DENMARK on Apr 21, 2006. Female patient, 72 years of age, was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease and was treated with Pentasa. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , diarrhoea, haematochezia. Pentasa dosage: 22250 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PYRIDOXAL PHOSPHATE, RIFAMPCIIN, ISONIAZID, ETHAMBUTOL, PYRAZINAMIDE, PROPYLTHIOURACIL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Pentasa dosage: 2000 MG DAILY, ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with OMEPRAZOLE, PREDNISOLONE, ALGINATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Pentasa dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ACYCLOVIR, LANSOPRAZOLE, FLUCONAZOLE, CYCLOSPORINE, RIFAMPICIN, FUSIDATE, PREDNISONE, SENNA. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 07/01/2005.
