Peginterferon side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on Feb 22, 2006. Male patient, 54 years of age, weighting 194.0 lb, was diagnosed with hepatitis c virus and was treated with Peginterferon. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: activated partial thromboplastin time prolonged, factor viii inhibition, oedema peripheral, pain , paraesthesia, pruritus. Peginterferon dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with LORTAB, ATENOLOL, BACLOFEN, CLONIDINE, FUROSEMIDE, LISINOPRIL, METFORMIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal distension, blood bilirubin increased, dehydration, nausea , oedema peripheral, oral intake reduced, saliva altered, sputum abnormal, swelling face. Peginterferon dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with RIBAVIRIN. Patient recovered.
