Oxytocin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from INDIA on Feb 17, 2009. Female patient, 32 years of age, was treated with Oxytocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: disseminated intravascular coagulation, haemorrhage, hysterectomy What is  hysterectomy, laparotomy, mechanical ventilation, postpartum haemorrhage, splenectomy, splenic artery aneurysm, uterine atony. Oxytocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ERGOMETRINE, CARBOPROST. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac arrest What is  cardiac arrest, disseminated intravascular coagulation, hypotension, hypovolaemic shock, hysterectomy What is  hysterectomy, postpartum haemorrhage. Oxytocin dosage: 1 ML, ONCE/SINGLE. During the same period patient was treated with PITOCIN, CYTOTEC. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
