Oxytocin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from ITALY on Aug 28, 2008. Female patient, 42 years of age, weighting 189.6 lb, was diagnosed with uterine haemorrhage and was treated with Oxytocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: acidosis, chest pain , dilatation ventricular, dyspnoea, ejection fraction decreased, endotracheal intubation, hyperkinesia, hypotension, hypoxia. Oxytocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ERGONOVINE, BUPIVACAINE, FENTANYL, MORPHINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

During the same period patient was treated with BUPIVACAINE, FENTANYL TRANSDERMAL SYSTEM, PHENYLEPHRINE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase mb increased, blood pressure decreased, chest pain , myocardial infarction, troponin t increased. Oxytocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METOPROLOL TARTRATE, MIDAZOLAM, BUPIVACAINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
