Oxytocin side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NETHERLANDS on Jan 21, 2009. Female patient, 28 years of age, was diagnosed with induced labour and was treated with Oxytocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrested labour, artificial rupture of membranes, caesarean section, normal newborn, premature separation of placenta. Oxytocin dosage: unknown. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 22 years of age, was diagnosed with induced labour and was treated with Oxytocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrested labour, caesarean section, catheter related complication, endotracheal intubation, epidural anaesthesia, heart valve stenosis, increased bronchial secretion, mechanical ventilation. Oxytocin dosage: 6 MILLI IU/MIN GRADUALLY INCREASED TO 40 MILLI IU/MIN. During the same period patient was treated with FENTANYL CITRATE, FENTANYL CITRATE, BUPIVACAINE, THIOPENTAL, SUCCINYLCHOLINE CHLORIDE, OXYGEN, NITROUS OXIDE, VECURONIUM BROMIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 32 years of age, was diagnosed with uterine contractions abnormal and was treated with Oxytocin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arrested labour, caesarean section, haemorrhage, premature labour, umbilical cord abnormality. Oxytocin dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with RITODRINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
