Oxcarbazepine Side Effects Report #5778352-X
Oxcarbazepine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from NORWAY on May 19, 2008. Male patient, 45 years of age, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Oxcarbazepine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: hyponatraemia, inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion, partial seizures. Oxcarbazepine dosage: 1800 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with CARBAMAZEPINE, VIGABATRIN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

Female patient, child 12 years of age, weighting 68.34 lb, was diagnosed with epilepsy  and was treated with Oxcarbazepine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain oedema, hyponatraemia, inappropriate antidiuretic hormone secretion, respiratory tract infection, weight increased. Oxcarbazepine dosage: 720 MG/D. During the same period patient was treated with CLOBAZAM, VALPROATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Oxcarbazepine dosage: 1500MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with LAMOTRIGINE, VIGABATRIN. Patient died.
