Oxcarbazepine Side Effects Report #5934356-5
Oxcarbazepine side effect was reported by a Health Professional from GREECE on Oct 22, 2008. Male patient, 31 years of age, was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was treated with Oxcarbazepine. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, corneal reflex decreased, depressed level of consciousness, electroencephalogram abnormal, heart rate irregular, hyperhidrosis. Oxcarbazepine dosage: UP TO 1200 MG/DAY. During the same period patient was treated with AMISULPRIDE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood lactate dehydrogenase increased, electroencephalogram abnormal, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, shift to the left. Oxcarbazepine dosage: TITRATED UP TO 1200 MG/DAY,. During the same period patient was treated with AMISULPRIDE. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: alanine aminotransferase increased, aspartate aminotransferase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood creatine phosphokinase mb increased, blood pressure increased, body temperature increased, depressed level of consciousness, dystonia . Oxcarbazepine dosage: 300 MG, TID. During the same period patient was treated with VENLAFAXINE, QUETIAPINE FUMARATE, CLONAZEPAM, DIPHENHYDRAMINE, IBUPROFEN, ACETAMINOPHEN. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
