Orthoclone and death Patient Reports February 12, 2012

Orthoclone Side Effects Report #5228434-6
Orthoclone side effect was reported by a Physician from JAPAN on Jan 26, 2007. Male patient, 56 years of age, was diagnosed with transplant rejection, prophylaxis against transplant rejection, liver transplant  and was treated with Orthoclone. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: brain herniation, brain oedema, cardio-respiratory arrest, cardiogenic shock, encephalopathy, haemolysis, renal failure acute, ventricular tachycardia. Orthoclone dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METHYLPREDNISOLONE, POLARAMINE, IMMUNE GLOBULIN INTRAVENOUS, VOLTAREN, CHLORTHALIDONE, CHLORPHENIRAMINE MALEATE, TACROLIMUS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 01/26/2007.

Patient died on 01/01/2003.
