Orfidal side effect was reported by a Health Professional from SPAIN on June 02, 2008. Female patient, 64 years of age, was diagnosed with alcohol detoxification, bipolar disorder
, disorientation and was treated with Orfidal. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood creatine phosphokinase increased, blood osmolarity abnormal, confusional state, disorientation, expressive language disorder, hypernatraemia, metabolic acidosis, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, pyrexia. Orfidal dosage: (1 MG QD ORAL, (1 MG QD ORAL). During the same period patient was treated with AKINETON, LITHIUM CARBONATE, ANTABUSE, ETUMINA, HALOPERIDOL. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
