Octreotide side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Nov 26, 2007. Male patient, 34 years of age, was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour and was treated with Octreotide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: glasgow coma scale abnormal, hypoglycaemia, hypoxic encephalopathy, loss of consciousness. Octreotide dosage: 30MG/IM. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: cardiac failure congestive, hypoglycaemia, metastases to liver, obstruction gastric, pancreatitis, weight decreased, weight increased. Octreotide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DIAZOXIDE, CALCIUM CHANNEL BLOCKERS, GLUCOCORTICOIDS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
