Octreotide side effect was reported by a Health Professional from UNITED STATES on July 21, 2005. Female patient, 55 years of age, was diagnosed with varices oesophageal and was treated with Octreotide. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arterial thrombosis, colonic polyp , disease recurrence, gastric varices, pancreatitis, splenic infarction, vascular pseudoaneurysm. Octreotide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with OCTREOTIDE ACETATE, MORPHINE SULPHATE, PANTOPRAZOLE, MAGNESIUM SULPHATE, CALCIUM GLUCONATE, NICOTINE, ANTIDEPRESSANTS. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , agranulocytosis, blood amylase increased, c-reactive protein increased, disease recurrence, leukopenia. Octreotide dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with ANTINEOPLASTIC AGENTS. Patient recovered.
