Female patient, 73 years of age, weighting 128.0 lb, was diagnosed with candidiasis and was treated with Nystatin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, coma, drooling, fall
, hypersensitivity, respiratory arrest. Nystatin dosage: 5 ML QID PO ORAL ONCE ONLY. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.Nystatin Side Effects Report #5818744-3
Nystatin side effect was reported by a Pharmacist from UNITED STATES on July 18, 2008. Male patient was treated with Nystatin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abnormal behaviour, diarrhoea, frequent bowel movements, no therapeutic response, vomiting. Nystatin dosage: 1/2 ML IN EACH CHEEK Q.I.D.. During the same period patient was treated with RANITIDINE, NUTRAMIGEN. Patient recovered.
