Novomix side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on Oct 19, 2006. Female patient, 81 years of age, weighting 136.7 lb, was diagnosed with insulin-requiring type ii diabetes mellitus, hypertension and was treated with Novomix. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: blood glucose increased, hepatic failure, hypoglycaemia, hypoglycaemic coma, multi-organ failure, pneumonia , renal failure, vomiting. Novomix dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COVERSYL. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 70 years of age, weighting 189.6 lb, was diagnosed with insulin-requiring type ii diabetes mellitus, diabetes mellitus non-insulin-dependent and was treated with Novomix. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: depressed level of consciousness, hypoglycaemic coma, mental disorder. Novomix dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with METFORMIN, BISOPROLOL FUMARATE, FUROSEMIDE, ASPIRIN, SIMVASTATIN, POTASSIUM CHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
