Novomix side effect was reported by a Physician from SOUTH AFRICA on Oct 19, 2006. Female patient, weighting 136.7 lb, was diagnosed with insulin-requiring type ii diabetes mellitus, hypertension and was treated with Novomix. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: glycosylated haemoglobin increased, hypoglycaemia, hypoglycaemic coma, multi-organ failure, pneumonia . Novomix dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with COVERSYL. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient died.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: glycosylated haemoglobin increased, macular oedema, visual disturbance. Novomix dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with NOVONORM, AVANDIA, DIAMOX, LASIX. Patient recovered.

Male patient, 39 years of age, weighting 198.4 lb, was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus insulin-dependent and was treated with Novomix. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: circulatory collapse, coronary artery thrombosis, glycosylated haemoglobin increased, myocardial infarction, treatment noncompliance. Novomix dosage: unknown. During the same period patient was treated with DISPRIN. Patient died on 02/15/2005.
