Nitrofurantoin Side Effects Report #5064763-7
Nitrofurantoin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on July 10, 2006. Female patient, 83 years of age, weighting 114.0 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Nitrofurantoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: arthralgia, asthenia, cough, dyspnoea, dysstasia, motor dysfunction, pneumonitis, tremor, weight decreased. Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG;QD;PO. During the same period patient was treated with MONTELUKAST. Patient recovered.

Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG; BID; PO. During the same period patient was treated with MONTELUKAST. Patient recovered.

Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG 1/DAY ORAL. Patient recovered.

Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG 2 TIMES PER DAY. Patient died on 09/28/2005.
