Male patient, 92 years of age, weighting 182.3 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Nitrofurantoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: pulmonary fibrosis . Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG HS PO. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Patient died on 11/04/2007.
