Nitrofurantoin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on Mar 05, 2007. Female patient, 69 years of age, weighting 130.0 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection  and was treated with Nitrofurantoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: anaphylactic reaction, blood pressure increased, dry eye, erythema, eye pain, fatigue, heart rate increased, ocular hyperaemia. Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG; TWICE A DAY; ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, FAMOTIDINE, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, TEMAZEPAM, HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE AND ACETAMINOPHEN, ATENOLOL, DICYCLOMINE, ACETYLSALICYLIC ACID SRT. Patient recovered.
