Nitrofurantoin Side Effects Report #5828214-4
Nitrofurantoin side effect was reported by a Consumer or non-health professional from UNITED STATES on July 14, 2008. Female patient, 69 years of age, weighting 130.0 lb, was diagnosed with urinary tract infection , hypersensitivity and was treated with Nitrofurantoin. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abasia, anaphylactic reaction, arthralgia, blood pressure increased, dry eye, dry skin, erythema, erythema of eyelid, eye pain. Nitrofurantoin dosage: 100 MG; TWICE A DAY; ORAL. During the same period patient was treated with PREDNISONE, FAMOTIDINE, HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, TEMAZEPAM, HYDROCODONE BITARTRATE AND ACETAMINOPHEN, ATENOLOL, DICYCLOVERINE HYDROCHLORIDE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
