Nilotinib Side Effects Report #5597232-6
Nilotinib side effect was reported by a Physician from SPAIN on Jan 16, 2008. Male patient, 70 years of age, weighting 132.3 lb, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal stromal tumour and was treated with Nilotinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , anorexia, cardiac failure, concomitant disease progression, fatigue, hepatic failure, malignant neoplasm progression, mental status changes. Nilotinib dosage: 800 MG, QD. During the same period patient was treated with FUROSEMIDE, INSULIN, ASPIRIN, SUNITINIB MALATE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient died on 11/08/2007.

Female patient, 66 years of age, weighting 163.1 lb, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal stromal tumour and was treated with Nilotinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , ileus, malignant neoplasm progression, nausea , tumour excision, tumour necrosis. Nilotinib dosage: 800MG DAILY. Patient was hospitalized and became disabled. Patient died on 12/15/2007.

Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , dehydration, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal tube insertion, hypotension, intestinal obstruction, malignant neoplasm progression, syncope. Nilotinib dosage: 400 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with IMODIUM, LASIX, LOVENOX, MORPHINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: malignant neoplasm progression. Nilotinib dosage: 400 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE, ONDANSETRON. Patient died on 10/30/2007.

During the same period patient was treated with MS CONTIN. Patient died on 01/05/2007.
