Nilotinib and hypotension Patient Reports February 11, 2012

Nilotinib side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 11, 2008. Female patient, 53 years of age, weighting 205.3 lb, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal stromal tumour, diarrhoea, pulmonary embolism  and was treated with Nilotinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: dehydration, diarrhoea, hypotension, syncope. Nilotinib dosage: 400 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with IMODIUM, LASIX, LOVENOX. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.

Female patient, 53 years of age, weighting 205.3 lb, was diagnosed with gastrointestinal stromal tumour, diarrhoea, pulmonary embolism , pain  and was treated with Nilotinib. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: abdominal pain , dehydration, diarrhoea, gastrointestinal tube insertion, hypotension, intestinal obstruction, malignant neoplasm progression, syncope. Nilotinib dosage: 400 MG, BID. During the same period patient was treated with IMODIUM, LASIX, LOVENOX, MORPHINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
