Nifurtimox Side Effects Report #5211653-2
Nifurtimox side effect was reported by a Physician from UNITED STATES on Jan 17, 2007. Male patient, child 11 years of age, weighting 48.00 lb, was diagnosed with neuroblastoma recurrent and was treated with Nifurtimox. After drug was administered, patient experienced the following side effects: areflexia, asthenia, encephalopathy, fungal sepsis, malignant neoplasm progression, mental status changes, neuroblastoma
, neutropenia, pyrexia. Nifurtimox dosage: 20MG/KG/DAY DIV TID PO. During the same period patient was treated with VINCRISTINE. Patient was hospitalized. Patient recovered.
